Telephone Town Hall a Big Success
Last night we had our first ever telephone town hall and it was a huge success! About 2,400 constituents listened in and we had some great questions.
I would like to thank Tim McCabe, Director of the Oregon Business Development Department, and Chad Freeman, Business Development Officer for Washington and Clackamas Counties, for being our guest speakers.
I would also like to especially thank Alison, who is 12-years-old and not old enough to vote, but took the initiative to get involved in the democratic process by asking a very insightful question about how we can ensure that future generations are not affected by the current economic downturn. It's constituents like Alison that make me extremely proud to represent the people of House District 27.
I have two more townhalls scheduled for this year. These will be in-person town halls at the Beaverton City Library on 12375 SW 5th St.. The next one is on August 12th at 7:00 pm. Our guest will be Attorney General John Kroger. We will be discussing ways that we can make state government more transparent and accountable. It should be an interesting conversation and I would love it if you could join us to particpate or just listen in.

I am running to be your voice: to bring your priorities, ideas and vision for Oregon’s future to your legislature.
